The African Network for Learning Analytics Research (ANLAR) brings together researchers, practitioners, and institutions across Africa working in Learning Analytics. Formally launched on 13 December 2022 as a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), ANLAR advances research, practice, and dialogue on Learning Analytics within the African context while strengthening connections to the broader international community.
Learning Analytics is an evolving field with growing relevance for higher education and digital learning in Africa. ANLAR provides a platform to connect African scholars, foster collaboration, and increase visibility and participation within the global LA community.
Build an active group of Learning Analytics researchers on the African continent, creating a strong network of scholars and practitioners.
Facilitate knowledge exchange between African researchers and institutions and the international Learning Analytics community.
Organise meetings and workshops to explore collaboration opportunities and knowledge exchange across the continent.
